2015: Southern Youths Rally Support for Jonathan
Hundreds of youths from seventeen states of the South-east, South-south and South-west geo-politicalzones under the aegis of Southern Nigeria Youth Leadership Initiative, SNYLI, yesterday in Enugu urgedPresident Goodluck Jonathan to contest the 2015 Presidential election.
The group advised the president to ignore what they described as intimidations and campaigns of calumnyagainst him by some politicians in the country and heed the desire of the majority of Nigerians to go for another term.
The youths said they are solidly behind the president not only in his political aspirations but also in the progress recorded by his administration since 2010.
The group maintained that it has painstakingly searched for any clause in the Nigeria Constitution barring President Jonathan from seeking a second term in office but found none and has therefore volunteered be the president’s vanguard in seeking for the mandate.
The group spoke during its meeting in Enugu at the weekend when it hosted delegation from Oproza House led by the chairman, Mr. Ogoriba Timi kay-Wilhelm accompanied by famous actress, Hilda Dokubo
